In my teaching, I am passionate about de-mystifying academia, dismantling the hidden curriculum and communicating with students in a manner which is accessible and enjoyable. This is informed by guidelines such as Universal Design for Learning. Under the wings of key teaching mentors, particularly Dr Laura K. Taylor, I have developed resources for students about finding and evaluating academic sources, reading guides, jigsaw reading activities and assignments applying research and theory to real-world examples.

- An Open-Access Toolkit for Engaging Students by Applying Theory and Research to the Real World (https://osf.io/ckj6a/): Developed with Dr Laura K. Taylor, this toolkit includes jigsaw readings with guiding and discussion questions, and an assignment in which students must apply theory and research to real-world autobiographies. We evaluated this toolkit with 200 undergraduates in child and adolescent development, and shared it through blog posts (e.g., Higher Education Authority Teaching and Learning Blog) and newsletters (e.g., Higher Education Authority Teaching and Learning Newsletter).
